Ohio Valley Job Fair set for May 7
STEUBENVILLE – Rich Gualtiere and John Fayak know they will have job seekers at the Ohio Valley Job Fair 2014, set for May 7 at the Fort Steuben Mall.
Now, the two case managers for Ohio Means Jobs Jefferson County office are looking for more employers to participate in the job fair scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Last year, we had between 450 to 500 job seekers attend the job fair and 75 employers. Our employer numbers are down a little this year but we still have time for businesses seeking prospective workers to sign up to join us at the mall on May 7,” said Gualtiere.
“We know we will have health care employers, the Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino and Racetrack along with Mountaineer Race Track and Casino Resort, labor positions and service industry jobs. We will also have training providers such as schools,” said Fayak.
“Job seekers should bring copies of their resumes with them and dress appropriately for a job interview,” added Fayak.
The Ohio Valley Job Fair 2014 is being sponsored by Goodwill Industries and Eastern Gateway Community College with support rom the Jefferson County Community Action Council, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Jefferson County Department of Job and Family Services, Fort Steuben Mall, Jefferson County Veterans Program, Jefferson Metropolitan Housing Authority and Ohio Means Jobs Jefferson County.
“If you are ready to work and are drug free we hope to see you at the Ohio Valley Job Fair 2014. And we are still open to employers who would like to participate. More information about the job fair is available at our website at www.ohiomeansjobsjeffersoncounty.com,” noted Gualtiere.
