Plea entered in federal gun case

WHEELING – Jason Scott, 28, of Wellsburg pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Frederick P. Stamp Jr. to a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said Scott faces up to 10 years in prison.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen L. Vogrin and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
