Cadiz murder probe continues

CADIZ – Authorities are continuing their investigation into the death of Joseph Strothers, 45, of Cadiz, whose body was found at Sally Buffalo Park on Friday.

Harrison County authorities are asking law enforcement to locate Matthew Dowdle, 24, of Hopedale and Eve Irene Kelley, 33, of Wintersville, who have been named by Cadiz Police as suspects in Strothers’ death.

Cadiz Police Chief Ryan McCann wouldn’t comment on the nature of the homicide or a motive.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of Dowdle and Kelley being seen in the Knoxville and Pottery Addition areas on Saturday and Sunday. Deputies were unable to locate the pair.

Dowdle was described as 6 foot 1, 188 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has two tear drop tattoos below his left eye and the letters of the words ‘cash” and “flow” tattooed on the knuckles of his hands.

Kelley is 5 foot 6, 165 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
