Threats lead to arrests
STEUBENVILLE Steubenville Police today arrested two juvenile girls from the city for making menacing threats on social media against Jane Doe, the victim in the Steubenville rape case.
Police Chief Bill McCafferty and juevenile division detectives were investigating social media comments they believed were menacing,
The two girls were arrested late in the afternoon. Police are pursing information about a juvenile male. They did not release the names because they are juveniles.
“We take these threats very seriously,” McCafferty said, adding the investigation continues.
