Maureen O’Connell, Weirton, pleaded no contest to speeding and was found guilty. Fined $5 and assessed court costs.

William Pipes Jr., East Liverpool, pleaded no contest to failure to obtain a West Virginia license and was found guilty. Fined $75 and assessed court costs.

James Shields Jr., Colliers, charge of littering dismissed at prosecutor’s request.

Justin Brown, Weirton, charged with driving on a suspended license (third offense/administrative), defendant pleaded guilty to lesser-included offense of driving on a suspended license (second offense/administrative). Fined $100 and assessed court costs.

Darlene Carson, Chester, charge of obstructing an officer dismissed without prejudice at prosecutor’s request.

Samuel Brown, Lisbon, charge of worthless check dismissed at defense counsel’s request and with no objection from the state.

Daniel Truax, Weirton, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentence of 60 days in jail suspended. Placed on six months’ unsupervised probation with SCRAM bracelet. Fined and assessed court costs and a $30 probation fee. Pleaded guilty to fleeing (no vehicle). Sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for time served. Fined $50 and assessed court costs. Pleaded guilty to destruction of property. Sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for time served. Ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $450.24 to the court by Sept. 9. Charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct dismissed.

July 10

Nicholas Farone, Steubenville, charged with driving under the influence (aggravated), defendant pleaded guilty to DUI (non-aggravated). Sentence of 30 days in jail suspended. Placed on six months’ unsupervised probation with a $30 probation fee. Fined $500 and assessed court costs. Charge of domestic battery dismissed.

Nunzio Lombardozzi, Wellsville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Placed on six months’ unsupervised probation. Assessed court costs.

Abraham Willis, Weirton, charge of public intoxication dismissed at prosecutor’s request upon successful completion of probation. No violations noted. Court costs paid in full. Charge of assault also dismissed.

Devin T. Silver, Colliers, charge of domestic battery dismissed at prosecutor’s request.

Albert DiPietro, Steubenville, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. Sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. Fined and assessed court costs. Speeding citation dismissed at prosecutor’s request.

Cody McKinney, Stephenson, W.Va., charged with aggravated driving under the influence, defendant pleaded guilty to DUI (non-aggravated). Sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. Fined $500 and assessed court costs. Charges of driving left of center and failure to use a turn signal dismissed at prosecutor’s request.

Daniel Brancazio, Weirton, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license (DUI). Sentence of 30 days in jail suspended. Placed on six months’ unsupervised probation. Fined $250 and assessed court costs. Charges of driving on a suspended license (DUI) and driving on an expired motor vehicle inspection(two counts) dismissed at prosecutor’s request.
