WINTERSVILLE — The approach of the holiday season brings the return of a Christmas season staple as the 17th-annual installment of Holiday Splendor is set for Dec. 2.

The luncheon and style show featuring a variety of vendors and boutique shopping will be held at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville with shopping beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The luncheon will be served at 1 p.m. with the menu listed as antipasto plate, steak salad, assorted rolls and Ho Ho bundt cake.

The style show featuring fashions by Christopher and Banks will follow lunch, and there will be vendor shopping afterward until 4 p.m.

Tickets are $30 each with checks made payable to the Wintersville Woman’s Club and mailed to 52 Pleasant St., Wintersville OH 43953. Questions can be directed to Karen at (740) 381-2568. The deadline for reservations is Nov. 26.

Proceeds from the fundraiser help fund the awarding of four scholarships.

In addition to the luncheon, fashion show and vendor shopping, the event also will include a variety of themed baskets in a Chinese auction chaired by Tyra Timmons. Tickets are $1 each; six for $5; or 15 for $10. A separate drawing will be held for a television and wreath, with ticket prices the same as the Chinese auction. A 50-50 drawing ticket is $1 for one or six for $5.

No drawing tickets will be sold after 1 p.m.

There also will be door prizes awarded, and one lucky attendee will receive a gift of jewelry donated by Discovery Jewelers of Wintersville in a special drawing. Members of the woman’s club are not eligible for the jewelry drawing.

“It’s the kick-off of the holiday season — come and join us,” said Mary Beth Allan, club president and event chair.

“It’s a fun day.”
