MINGO JUNCTION — The Mingo Lions Club held its February dinner meeting at the residence of Lion Jeff Schuetz with President William Snyder presiding.

The opening prayer was given by Dr. William Johns with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Leroy Milewsky.

Zone 8 Chair Terry Snyder installed new member Lois D’Alesio, who was sponsored by Karen Harris.

Snyder noted she will update members on the March 8 zone meeting in Toronto as information becomes available.

Clara Sue Milewsky provided information on the district convention that will be held April 28-29 at the McKinley Grand Hotel in South Canton. The Parade of Checks was discussed along with the gifts needed to be brought to convention. The event will be further discussed at the next meeting. Four members are planning to attend.

Members brought nonperishable food items. A “food box” is being assembled and will be given to a family in need.

The slate of officers will be presented at the next meeting.

The reverse drawing was discussed. The club voted to have it again in September.

Anniversaries and birthdays were recognized.

Members recycled.

Harris led the closing prayer.

The next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on March 21 with the Snyders as callers.
