schedules meeting for Saturday

EAST SPRINGFIELD — The East Springfield Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall of Christ United Methodist Church in East Springfield, located at 220 Church St.

All citizens of the community are invited to attend and voice their concerns or ask questions regarding the operation and maintenance of the cemetery.

Children can learn to use 3-D printing pens during library session

WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Public Library will teach children age 8 and up to use a 3-D printing pen in various ways at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The pen melts plastic that cools and hardens rapidly, allowing its user to literally draw in the air.

The program is free, but space is limited. Call (304) 737-1551 to register.

Satellite office of veterans commission open in Dillonvale on Wednesday

DILLONVALE — The satellite office of the Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Dillonvale City Building, 135 School St., to assist veterans, dependents of veterans, and/or veterans’ widows with Veterans Administration pensions, compensations, burials, schooling, medical assistance, and other veteran’s benefits.

For information or assistance, call the Veterans Service Office at (740) 283-8571 or visit the office, which is located in Suite 310 at 500 Market St., Steubenville.

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is closed every Wednesday afternoon to the public.

Follansbee Branch Library to show

‘All Saints’ at noon on Friday

FOLLANSBEE — The Follansbee Branch Library will show the PG-rated film “All Saints” on Friday, beginning at noon.

It’s based on the true story of salesman turned pastor Michael Spurlock (played by John Corbett), the tiny church he was ordered to shut down, and a group of refugees from Southeast Asia.

Attendees may bring their lunches. Popcorn and water will be provided by the library. Call (304) 527-0860 to reserve a seat.
