‘Gift of Life’ event to honor heroes of organ, eye and tissue donation
STEUBENVILLE — Lifeline of Ohio and Trinity Health System invite members of the community to join then from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday to honor the heroes of organ, eye and tissue donation during a “Gift of Life” event.
It will be held in the private dining room at Trinty Medical Center-West, 4000 Johnson Road.
Attendees are encouraged to come together with donor families and recipients to decorate an ornament and enjoy refreshments. The event is free of charge, and children are encouraged to attend.
Officials said Lifeline of Ohio and Trinity Health System emphathize with members of the community who have lost a loved one. “Our goal is to honor your loved one for the gifts they were able to give and celebrate their life with others in a safe and supportive environment,” a spokesperson said.
“We invite you to join us as we honor the heroes of organ, eye and tissue donation during the holiday season, connect with transplant recipients and other donor families for support,” the spokesperson continued. “We will decorate ornaments, enjoy some refreshments and discover helpful ways to cope during the holidays.” Trinity will display the ornaments on a holiday tree throughout the season. Participants are welcome to bring an ornament in honor of their loved one or to personalize an ornament onsite.
