East Springfield center

to host fundraiser dinner

EAST SPRINGFIELD — The East Springfield Community and Recreation Center will host its monthly fundraiser dinner from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The menu will be roast pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots, desserts, rolls and drinks. The cost is $8.

The center is located on county Road 39 next to the East Springfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Three solo artists to perform

Saturday at Carrollton church

CARROLLTON — The Carrollton Bible Chapel will host three solo artists in concert at the church on Saturday, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The artists include Linda Weber, who has a global ministry based out of Coshocton, Ohio; Jennifer Hugg, executive secretary of the Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron; and Canton resident Jonathan White, singer and recording artist.

Admission is two food items to be donated to Carrollton’s Loaves and Fishes food pantry. A love offering will be received.

The church is located at 365 Steubenville Road, S.E., Carrollton. A cookie reception will be held after the performances.

Benefit smorgasbord planned

Thursday at Sugar Grove UMC

TORONTO — A benefit smorgasbord to help the Echardt family fire victims, a mother and six children, will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, located at 159 county Road 68, Toronto. “Proceeds will go directly to Lowes and be designated to pay for house rebuilding materials,” according to a promotional flyer.

Greater Weirton Senior Center

will host Sands of Time

WEIRTON — The Greater Weirton Senior Center will host the Sands of Time Thursday at the center located at 3425 Main St., downtown.

The doors will open at 5 p.m., and the band will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $5 per person. Proceeds benefit the senior center.

Wintersville church hosting rummage sale Saturday

WINTERSVILLE — Wintersville Community Chapel, located at the corner of Bantam Ridge Road and Ward Drive, will host a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Most items are 25 cents. Lunch will be available. Proceeds go to support mission projects. For information, call the church at (740) 264-7873.
