Contributeds ENDING SEASON — The Dyer Ladies League held its final awards banquet on Sept. 20. BLACKMOOR

The Blackmoor  Monday Evening Ladies League played a “Best Hand Poker” event.

Yuko Atwell and Denise Augustine tied for first place. Atwell had a chip-in on hole No. 3.

Linda Caputo had low net and a 43-foot putt on hole No. 16. Signa Findlay had closest to the pin on hole No. 12. Lori Defallo took long drive hole No. 14 with two birdies for the evening on holes Nos. 11 and 17.

CADIZ COUNTRY CLUB

WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION

The Women’s Golf Association of Cadiz Country Club played the quartermaster game on Wednesday, where it cost anyone making three putts a quarter. The winners of this pot were Nep Rowland and Ginny Ferrell.

An auxiliary  game of counting scores only on the  par 3 and par 5 holes, less one-half handicap, was won by Brenda Hartley with a 23 and Rowland with a 30.

Chairman Marlene Holloway reminded members to sign up for the awards day play and dinner, which will be held Wednesday.

DYER LADIES LEAGUE

The Dyer Ladies League held its final awards banquet on Sept. 20.

In attendance, other than the members, were Chip Coulter and Cookie and Geo Fisher.

Mary Alice Meyer led off the dinner with a prayer.

President Mary Arehart welcomed the members, and Treasurer Vickie Grant presented yearly awards.

Deb Phillippi and Mary Arehart chaired the 2016 banquet.

Engraved “Dyer Ladies League” glasses were given as a favor to each guest.

The league expressed appreciation to all members, past and present, and all who participated in the Firecracker and Oktoberfest Tournaments through the years.

MOUNTAINEER’S WOODVIEW

WOMEN’S 18-HOLE GOLF LEAGUE

Mountaineer’s Woodview Women’s 18-Hole Golf League played a one low gross and two low net format Sept. 15 along with proximity prizes on the par 3 holes, longest putt made and lowest putts.

First-place winner in the low gross format was Mary Ann Bainbridge shooting an 83. Winners of the low net format were Janet Stukins with a 66 and Dotty Virtue with a 67.

Closest to the pin winners for the round were: No. 6, Lori Szymanek; No. 8, Mary Ann Bainbridge; No. 14, Theresa Stotler; and No. 17, Janet Stukins.

Sinking the longest putt on No. 4 was Mary Ann Bainbridge with Dotty Virtue winning the lowest putts, 27.

Mary Ann Bainbridge also eagled the par 5 18th hole along with birdies on Nos. 3 and 4; Priscilla Mavrich birdied No. 15.

Chip-ins were made by Theresa Stotler on hole No. 13 and Lori Szymanek on hole No. 15.

The league was to hold its closing day luncheon on Sept. 20 at DeeJay’s Restaurant. The last official league day will be Thursday.

TOWN AND COUNTRY

On Sept. 15, Town and Country Golf played a “Throw Out Two Worst Holes” game.

Winners were: A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, (tie) Patty Saccoccia and Kathy Antinone; and C flight, Lattie Chinakarn.
