House of Prayer Church

The House of Prayer Church, 2535 township Road 163, Rayland, will hold its Vacation Bible School Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon each.

Wintersville Baptist Temple

“Lost and Found” will be the theme of Vacation Bible School at Wintersville Baptist Temple, 617 Fernwood Road, Wintersville.

It will be held from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday. It is open to students in preschool (age 4) to high school, and parents are welcome to attend their child’s classes.

The VBS will involve music, puppet skits, snacks, Bible lessons and stories and learning Bible verses. Participants will receive a T-shirt.

A special closing program on Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. will involve students singing and sharing what they learned. Guest speaker will be David Carr, president at Midwestern Baptist College in Michigan. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Georges Run United Methodist Church

Georges Run United Methodist Church will host its annual Vacation Bible School Day on Wednesday.

Children of all ages are welcome to attend. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m., and a cookout lunch prior to going home also will be served.

Activities will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with “lots of fun and learning,” according to a news release.

This year’s learning adventure is “Fruit of the Spirit.”

Holy Transfiguration Orthodox

Holy Transfiguration Orthodox church will hold a free vacation church school from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6-8 at the church located at 206 N. 10th St., Steubenville.

The three-day school will begin with a Divine Liturgy Aug. 6, and each day will include prayer, instruction and a light lunch. All school-aged children and teenagers are welcome to participate. Those attending don’t have to be church members.
