Elks Lodge 1801 holding golf scramble
WEIRTON – Weirton Elks Lodge 1801 will hold its annual golf scramble June 28 at Red Oaks Golf Course in Bloomingdale.
“The golf scramble is one of the biggest fundraising project for the Elks charitable programs,” Golf Chair Shawn Rybka said.
The scramble is open to Elks and guests. Registration is at 7 a.m., and the shotgun start is at 8 a.m. It is limited to 18 four-player teams, with each team having at least two Elks in good standing.
The cost is $70 per player, including green fees, a club house luncheon and dinner following the scramble.
A 50/50 drawing also will be held.
There will be no mulligans, and the minimum team handicap is 50. The maximum player handicap is 18. Each team may only have one player with a single-digit handicap. A double bogey is the most a team can score.
Prizes will be announced.
Those participating may submit their fees in advance at the lodge to Club Manager Trina Humberson or pay, cash only, the day of the scramble at the golf course.
