Serve Others Circle meets

Six members of the Serve Others Circle of Kings Daughters and Sons met March 18 at the YWCA for a noon luncheon meeting with Ruth Ann McLaughlin presiding and giving the blessing.

Reports were given by Donna Grimm, treasurer, and Lucille Smith, secretary.

JoAnn Birney, sunshine chairman, reported on the sick and on birthdays. Blessing

Jars will be collected at the May meeting.

McLaughlin read from the Silver Cross magazine, “Doris Smith, Extraordinary Advocate,” by Francis Cooley. She gave the members a schedule of hostesses and program leaders for 2014 and 2015.

Martha Jane Brondos, hostess and program leader, introduced Jerry Barilla of Historic Fort Steuben who discussed upcoming activities and events at Fort Steuben. Memberships are available for $25.

The next meeting will be held April 15 with Birney as hostess and program leader. The circle will tour the historical Means House in Steubenville that day.
