Library programs are announced
The following programs of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County have been announced:
Toronto Branch’s Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. on April 8. The local author of “The Keeper” will discuss her book at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. For information, call (740) 537-1262.
The Book Club for the Tiltonsville branch will meet at 10 a.m. on April 8. Join by calling the library at (740) 859-5163.
Enjoy “Coffee, Doughnuts and a Movie” at the Tiltonsville branch on April 11 at 10 a.m.
Tot Time (caregiver and children ages 2-3) will be offered at the main library, on April 7, 14, and 21 at 11 a.m. Register by calling the library at (740) 282-9782.
Gaming For Kids (children in grades K-6) will be held at the Schiappa branch on April 9 anytime from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Play Wii and other popular games.
Eat and discuss at the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant Branch’s Cookbook Club on April 10 at 5 p.m. Participants make a recipe to share with the club. Join by calling the library at (740) 769-2090.
Make a Craft For Adults at the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant branch on April 8 at 5 p.m. For information, call (740) 769-2090.
Drop in for Play and Learn the Alphabet (caregiver and children ages 2-6) at the Adena branch on April 7 at 11:15 a.m. and the main library on April 9 and 23 at 11 a.m. The hour-long play session with toys promotes alphabet knowledge and other early literacy skills.
Story Time (caregiver and children ages 4-6) will be held at the Brilliant branch on April 8 and 22 at 5:30 p.m. Stories, songs and an activity are shared. Register by calling the library at (740) 598-4028.
A family movie will be shown at the Brilliant branch at noon on April 12.
Play and Learn (caregiver and children ages birth to three) will be held at the Schiappa branch on April 8 at 10:30 a.m. and at 6 p.m. Choose one time to drop in and attend the hour-long play session.
“Spring Clean Your Home and Body” presentation to be held on April 8 at the main library at 11 a.m. and at the Toronto branch at 6 p.m. Susie Weiss of Young Living will explore natural methods of cleaning your home and simple tips for removing toxins from the cells of your body using whole foods, natural supplements and essential oils.
