Grant opportunities available
WHEELING – The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley Inc. announced grant program application deadlines.
Letters of intent for Community Impact Fund grants are due Feb. 14.
These grants are generally unrestricted, with priority focus on economic development, children and youth in need, the arts and health communities. Applicants will be notified whether a full grant application is necessary after letters of intent are evaluated. Full applications are due March 21, and funding decisions will be announced following the April 17 board meeting. Nonprofit organizations in Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, Belmont and Jefferson counties are eligible.
Women’s Giving Circle grant applications are due Sept. 2. Programs should focus on unmet needs of area women and girls, especially those programs that empower women and girls. Funding decisions will be announced following the Oct. 16 Women’s Giving Circle meeting. Nonprofit organizations in Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, Belmont and Jefferson counties are eligible.
Applications can been accessed at ww.cfov.org/grant. All grants are due by 5 p.m. on the due date. Faxed and emailed applications will not be accepted. Applications must be hand-delivered or mailed to: 1310 Market St., Wheeling, WV 26003.
The foundation made more than $1.5 million in charitable grants to assist local art programs, building health centers and assisting those affected by violence and natural disasters and scholarships in 2013.
