Knights of Columbus going Christmas caroling Thursday
Immaculate Heart of Mary Council No. 472 will continue a tradition of more than 25 years by singing Christmas carols at local nursing homes on Thursday.
Anyone who would like to participate in this activity is more than welcome to attend.
All members, their families and guests are asked to meet at the council hall on Two Ridge Road, Wintersville, at 5:30 p.m. There will be a short practice session of carols to be sung. They will then car pool to nursing homes.
Grand Knight Bill DiMarzio stated that this is one of the council’s ways of giving back to the community.
“We’re not the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, yet we help to put smiles on residents’ faces by bringing the joy of the season to them,” DiMarzio said. “It’s just a heartwarming experience enjoyed by all.”
After the caroling, food and refreshments will be served at the council hall by all who participated in the evening’s festivities.
