There will be signs posted with directions to the church.

Victory in “Da Ville” is an outreach project for the community, and there is no charge for anything to those attending, including the food. Attendees are asked to bring a canned good or nonperishable item to be distributed to Urban Mission Ministries.

More than a thousand people have attended this event since it started as news of the event continues to spread throughout the area, a spokesperson said.

A car cruise-in also will be held with free registration beginning at 11 a.m. Free dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 registered entries, and prizes will be awarded for the Pastor’s Choice and the Children’s Choice.

For the children, there will be games and activities throughout the day, including a large water slide, slip and slide, pinatas, face painting, clowns, Dum Dum and Dee Dee making balloon animals and activity tables.

Children who bring a canned good will be entered into a drawing for a prize. Parents are asked to bring a change of clothing and a towel for their child.

On the menu will be hot dogs, sloppy Joes, hot chicken sandwiches and sausage and pepper sandwiches as well as many varieties of salads, desserts, fresh fruit snacks, popcorn and beverages, along with children’s snacks and Sno Cones. All of these items will be available throughout the day at no cost.

There will be chairs set up under a tent, but attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Hanciapped parking will be available.

The public also is invited to attend the outdoor Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. the next day with the Revelation praise band and special guest Doc Roe. An outdoor picnic will immediately follow the service. For information, call the church at (740) 264-4531 or (740) 266-6613.
