Kappa Tau holds meeting

NEW CUMBERLAND – The West Virginia Alpha Tau Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Society of Women Educators met May 14 at the Swaney Memorial Library.

President Fran Jones called the meeting to order; Chaplain Donna Durkin gave the thought for the day, “Let Go of Your Stresses”; and Jones and Membership Chair Kathy Griffith welcomed and introduced prospective members Kari Everhart, Tammy Fields and Amy Pryor.

Corresponding Secretary Shirley Washam called roll and read communications; Recording Secretary Donna Bohach distributed the minutes, which were approved; and the treasurer’s report was given.

Co-chairs Susan Gracie and Rita Schmitt presented a fraternity education program, “Celebrate Alpha Delta Kappa.”

Delegates and alternates were elected to attend the International Convention which will be held July 3-7 in Washington, D.C.

Hostesses Donna Popovich, Sherry Emery and Diana Yocina prepared a picnic-style dinner.
