Club plans forum on Obama care
The executive board of the GFWC/OFWC Woman’s Club of Steubenville has initiated plans to sponsor an open public forum for community residents to become informed on the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act, more commonly known as Obama care.
Continuing plans for this event, which is scheduled for the June 3 club meeting, will be discussed at the April luncheon and business meeting of the club, which will be held Monday beginning at noon at the Steubenville Country Club.
Monday’s program will feature Flora VerStratten-Merrin, president of the Jefferson County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society speaking on the topic “Finding Our Roots.”
Hostesses and greeters will be Marlene Rhueff and Shirley Valuska.
President Kathy Mills will meet at 11 a.m. with the executive board. Mills reminds members to bring coins for the “Pennies for Puppies” project.
