WEIRTON — Golla Center for Plastic Surgery and Spa held a grand kickoff Thursday to celebrate its new location and to show off its medical spa treatments.

“We are trying to build up the other half of this practice, which is less invasive,” said Nurse Practitioner Rise Katnik-Cilia.

Still located in Weirton Medical Center, the Golla Center is now in suite 404 and continues to offer a variety of non-surgical treatments, such as tattoo removal, teeth whitening, miconeedling, peels, laser hair removal and more.

Dr. Dinakar Golla, plastic surgeon and practice founder, said he is proud to have board certified plastic surgeons work at his practice.

“We are comprehensive,” said Golla. “We perform plastic surgeries and treatments that people would have had to travel to Pittsburgh for.”

In addition to the medical spa, procedures including wound care, abdominoplasty, breast reduction, rhinoplasty and more continue to be a focus for the center.

“Our goal is to meet the needs of the communtity,” added Golla.

According to Golla, the most common treatment the staff handles is laser hair removal.

“It is done through lasers that can handle all skin types,” he said.

The second most common treatments requested are botox and fillers.

“That is kind of what people think of when you say medical spa,” said Golla.

Golla Center for Plastic Surgery and Spa has other locations in Robinson, Fox Chapel, Butler, McKees Rocks, Sewickley, Washington and Monroeville.

In Weirton, the practice carries three lines of products.

“We have NeoCutis, SkiMedica and ZO Skin Health,” said aesthetician Heather Johnston. “Between the three lines there is a product that will address whatever skin concern a patient has.”
