TORONTO — After 28 years of jewelry service and sales at the Fort Steuben Mall, Repairs Plus has moved to a new location, 208 Main St. in Toronto.

Co-owner Dawn Crowe said the same services and sales remain part of the business in its new location, including the replacement of watch batteries, jewelry repairs, bead restringing, engraving, stone repairs on jewelry and sales of various items, including gold jewelry, which can be special ordered.

She said any jewelry repairs that can’t be done on premises can be shipped to the founders of the business, who have been making repairs for customers of the shop for the past 28 years.

Watch band sizing also is done, and battery replacement for Citizen Eco Drive watches is available.

Memorial cremation jewelry also can be special ordered.

“We were looking for somewhere that was in a little place where we weren’t going to be a stand alone,” she said. “This was ready to move in. I lived in Toronto 30 years ago, and we have a lot of clientele from Toronto. It’s all good people, and everybody has come to wish us well and brought us plants and flowers and cookies.”

The phone number is (740) 537-8141. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
