Heck — Barnett
FOLLANSBEE – Amanda Lynn Heck and John Michael Barnett were united in marriage on Sept. 29 at St. Anthony’s Church in Follansbee. The 1 p.m. ceremony was celebrated by the Rev. Pete Giannamore.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Fox and Kevin Heck, both of Follansbee. She was escorted to the altar and given away by her father. The groom is the son of Clarence and Carmel Barnett of Follansbee.
Chelsey Barnhart served as the maid of honor. Kayla Heck and Kristen Heck, sisters of the bride, served as bridesmaids, as well as Betsy Maldonado and Melinda Popish.
Rick Means of Las Vegas was the best man. Bryan Means, Micah Sandreth, Hays Robinson and Michael Heck, brother of the bride, all served as groomsmen. Preston Barnett, son of the bride and groom, served as the ring bearer.
A reception followed at St. Francis Centre in Follansbee, and the newlyweds honeymooned in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The bride is a graduate of Brooke High School and West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.
The groom also is a graduate of Brooke High School and West Virginia Northern Community College with an associate degree in nursing. He is attending WVU for his bachelor’s degree in nursing and is employed at Trinity Medical Center East as a registered nurse. The couple reside in Wellsburg.
